About Us
Newton Driving Academy is a family owned and operated driving school proudly serving the Upper Valley region of Vermont. We offer state approved teen driver education, private driving lessons, and convenient Zoom classroom instruction designed to fit today’s busy schedules.
Founded by a retired state trooper (who still knows all the best traffic stories) and his wife, a nurse currently completing her driver education certification (because who better to keep everyone safe?), we bring a blend of real world experience and fresh perspective to teaching new drivers.

Our Teen Driver Education
This course meets Vermont's state requirements for students under 18. It includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving, and 6 hours of observation. This program is designed for permitted teens and provides the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for safe, responsible driving.
Private Driving Lesson
Need a little extra time behind the wheel?
Our 1-hour private driving lessons are perfect for both students and adults looking to build confidence and sharpen their skills. Each lesson is one-on-one with a trained, licensed driving instructor and includes the use of our fully-equipped driver’s education vehicle.
